Assessment Tests

Assessment tests are conducted at College of the Canyons to determine your preparedness to begin math, English, and/or ESL coursework. It is a required step for all incoming students, however there are a few exceptions.

Exemptions: A student may not need to take the assessment test if they have previous course or test credit.  To view assessment exemptions, click here.

Preparation: Students should prepare before taking the assessment test by using our study guides, attending a math workshop or viewing the assessment tutorial video. You can find lots of resources here on the Assessment Center webpage.
