What is a Guided Learning Activity (GLA)?
Guided Learning Activities
A Guided Learning Activity (GLA) is a computer guided activity students can complete to improve Writing, English, Math skills, or Study Skills. The Supplemental Learning Program offers GLA?s, face-to-face workshops, online workshops, and study jams.
GLA?s are designed to be completed in 50-60 minutes, but since they are self-paced, completion times can vary.
In order to complete a GLA, visit The Learning Center (TLC) during available GLA hours and be sure to bring your COC student ID. When you check in with the supplemental learning clerk, you will choose the GLA topic on which you would like to work.
